Doing Business With China: Key Insights for the New Year

February 22, 2016 at 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm
$35

Did you know that in 2010, the Chinese Geely Holding Group purchased Ford Motor Company’s Volvo? How about in 2012 when the Dalian Wanda Group from China bought AMC Entertainment? And are you aware that in 2013, Shuanghai International acquired Smithfield Foods?

These are just a few examples of Chinese companies purchasing American companies and assets, and the numbers have been increasing steadily in recent years

2016 is the year of the Fire Monkey, and he brings with him ambition and adventure.  His saying is “Anything can happen because everything is possible.” In the Chinesezodiac, the year is thought to be reminiscent of the animal, so like the monkey, 2016 is thought to bring with it intelligence, inventiveness, and problem solving.
