COME TOGÄTHER – “FASHION UTOPIA… Sustainability Connects Fashion Metropolis Atlanta – Berlin – Paris”

During the COME TOGÄTHER – Week of the German-speaking Countries, the KULTUR ENSEMBLE ATL (Goethe-Zentrum & Alliance Francaise) joins forces with Sustainable Fashion Week Atlanta and the internationally recognized experts Marte Hentschel and Uwe Westphal from Berlin to present FASHION UTOPIA: a Book Presentation, a photography exhibition, and panel discussions in the context of Atlanta Sustainable Fashion Week; authors, designers, artists, and activists from Europe present their perspectives and discuss with local fashion makers.

FASHION UTOPIA dares to look at fashion as a signifier of change through the centuries, across continents, across diverse societies. Fashion is harnessed as a tool for political activism, turning the runway into a platform to promote women’s issues, civil and human rights, LGBTQ+, and others.
