Concert of the Streichmusik Alder

Streichmusik (String Music) Alder Urnäsch was founded in 1884 by two brothers with the family name Alder in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden in eastern Switzerland. The band is currently formed by 4th and 5th generation Alder family members and friends. The Alders play very traditional Swiss folk, using traditional instruments and a style of singing called yodeling. In Atlanta they will perform as a quintet.
