About our speaker:

Emmanouil Androulakis, consul of Greece in Atlanta, was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1981. He studied Balkan, Slavic and Oriental Studies at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki.
From August 2005-06 he served as a conscript in the Hellenic Army (Artillery), then went on to his postgraduate studies in Russian Literature in Moscow in 2006-07. A fluent Russian speaker, Mr. Androulakis joined the Diplomatic Academy of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2008.
His early diplomatic career included stints working in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on former Soviet state and European issues. His first overseas assignment came in 2012, when he took up a post as deputy head of mission and head of the consular section at the Embassy of Greece in Astana, Kazakhstan.
He served there until arriving in September as consul of Greece in Atlanta.
