David Rennie: The View From Beijing
September 23, 2021 at 10:30 am - 11:15 am
In the 18 months since the World Affairs Council of Atlanta last spoke to David Rennie, Beijing Bureau Chief and “Chaguan” columnist for The Economist magazine, China has become more central to international developments: a more assertive Chinese foreign policy, repression of free speech in Hong Kong, increasing pressure on Taiwan, new Chinese silos for nuclear missiles, and China offering to extend its Belt and Road initiative into Afghanistan.
On Thursday, September 23, David Rennie will join live from Beijing to discuss the world as the Chinese leadership sees it. Due to the 12-hour time difference between the US East Coast and Beijing, this live program will start at 10:30 AM ET/10:30 PM CST.
