DE&I Series #5 – Neurodiversity, Disabilities & Mental Health – Resources & Best Practices

May 25, 2021 at 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

If you’re interested in workplace diversity and inclusion, you’ve probably been hearing a lot about neurodiversity lately.

But what exactly is neurodiversity? How can hiring neurodiverse employees benefit your organization?
For this 5th edition, the French-American Chamber of Commerce Atlanta-Southeast will be joined by speakers:

for a conversation moderated by Carin Knoop, Executive Director at Harvard Business School and expert in mental health.

The panel will discuss the importance of addressing neurodiversity in the workplace and creating an environment where everyone can do their best work.

EY’s Boston office recently launched a program to employ and support qualified candidates whose cognitive differences, such as autism or ADHD, would typically hinder their job search process in traditional interview and networking situations.

Like EY, IBM was once again listed among the TOP companies to work for, in 2021. Both companies are strongly engaging in neurodivergent hiring and engagement. Natalia Lyckowski, an Application Developer and Global Neurodiversity Business Resource Group Co-chair at IBM will share her own experience and explain how IBM has worked to advance from neurodivergent awareness to acceptance and pushing to advancement.

Watch Natalia speaking of her role as Global Neurodiversity@IBM and why neurodiversity is so important here.
