Democracy in Latin America: Threatened or Thriving?

December 14, 2023 at 12:00 pm 1:30 pm

Latin America moves into 2024 with a high level of uncertainty and democratic backsliding.  Elections in 2023 were threatened with violence and cries of fraud. Democratically-elected governments have shifted to authoritarian rule.  The pandemic crushed Latin American economies .
