DISCOVER GERMANY – Hansestadt Hamburg

Atlanta’s City of Hamburg Ambassador Sabrina Tams and Goethe-Zentrum Executive Director Oliver Gorf invite you to a stroll through their favorite German city: Freie und Hansestadt Hamburg, the city with more bridges than Venice, the port city with a heart for the arts, the trading center with a gate to the world, the Hanse city with a type of Low-German dialect called “Missingsch”, with street food named “Fishroll” and a 4am market called “Fischmarkt”.

Enjoy an interactive presentation covering history, economy, culture, and language, and sample typical food and beer.

This workshop is held in English with “Missingsch” and German tidbits, presented by two Hamburg natives and Language Program Coordinator Stefan Bauer.
