The American Council on Germany, the GACC South and Goethe Institute are excited to welcome Christian Carius, President of the Thuringian State Parliament for a discussion on “A Phoenix Still Rising: Economic Transformation in East Germany 25 Years after Unification”, and networking among the German-American business community.

The economic reconstruction in Thuringia is a success story that needs to be continued. Since 1990, most damages of the communist era were eliminated. With its modern infrastructure and well-educated people Thuringia today is one of the sites with the best investment environment in Europe.
