Empty Bowls Event – Fight to End Hunger
November 7, 2019 at 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Empty Bowls Project is an international grassroots effort to raise both money and awareness in the fight to end hunger.
This event is one of the numerous activities occurring during the 12th Annual Homelessness Awareness Week (HAW), hosted at Kennesaw State University. HAW is a week-long high impact experience dedicated to increasing awareness of homelessness, in our communities and on college campuses.
For the Empty Bowls Event, you are invited to choose from a large collection of bowls handmade by KSU students, alumni and faculty. Attendees will eat delicious vegan soup from the bowl, made from local produce selected by seasonal abundance.
Guest speakers will present short talks on art, sustainability and food insecurity. Participants will keep their bowl and 100% of the ticket sales go directly to CARE Services.
