Ethiopia, Memories of Home: Revolution, Refuge and Renewal

The Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora presents: Ethiopia, Memories of Home: Revolution, Refuge, and Renewal, featuring Partner and Global Creative Director for The Wolfgang Puck Group of Companies and the Center for Studies on Africa and Its Diaspora (CSAD) external advisory board member Gelila Assefa Puck.

Join CSAD at Georgia State University for a celebration of Ethiopia. Gelila Assefa Puck reflects on growing up Ethiopian, leaving home, and shaping a life of global advocacy. Senior Lecturer of Political Science at Georgia Gwinnett College, Yohannes Gedamu, enlightens with Ethiopian history and current events. Plus, Ethiopian art, music, and a coffee ceremony!

The event is also part of the annual International Education Week (IEW), a joint initiative of the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Education, celebrating the benefits of international education and exchange. IEW is now observed in more than 100 countries. At Georgia State University, Ethiopia, Memories of Home is designated as one of the university’s signature IEW events this year.
