European Film Festival of Atlanta 2022

We’re proud to present the first European Film Festival of Atlanta – 3 days of vibrant cinema exploring the meanings of European Identity. Join us for three days of vibrant and engaging cinema, showcasing the colorful variety of European on-screen storytelling while exploring the many expressions of European Identity. The Alliance Franรงaise, Goethe-Zentrum, and the Consulates of no less than 11 European Union countries – Belgium, the Republic of Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands – are proud to present the first annual European Film Festival of Atlanta (EFFA โ22).
For the official Opening Ceremony, we will hear opening remarks from the representatives of the 11 countries involved in the festival — Belgium, the Republic of Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands โ alongside the directors of Alliance Franรงaise and Goethe-Zentrum.
Following the opening ceremony, as a show of solidarity with the Ukrainian nation under attack, the European Film Festival of Atlanta 2022 will screen the award-winning Ukrainian documentary The Earth Is Blue As an Orange (2020) by Iryna Tsilyk. In a prerecorded video, director Iryna Tsilyk will introduce the film and highlight its newfound significance. Reception to follow the screening.
Other films set to be featured are as follows: Dating Amber, Siege on Liperti Street (ฮ ฮฟฮปฮนฮฟฯฮบฮฏฮฑ ฯฯฮทฮฝ ฮฟฮดฯ ฮฮนฯฮญฯฯฮท), Her Job (ฮ ฮฮฟฯ ฮปฮตฮนฮฌ ฯฮทฯ), The Last Temptation of the Belgians (La Derniรจre Tentation des Belges), Deaf Child (Doof Kind), The Big Hit (Un Triomphe), The Audition (Das Vorspiel), The Little Comrade (Seltsimees Laps), The Way Out (Cesta Ven), Invisible (Nematoma), and lastly, The Sign Painter (Piฤผsฤta pi upis).
