Film Screening: ATLAS

Join The Consulate General of Switzerland for free screening of the Swiss movie ATLAS as part of the Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo at Emory University!

Each year in October, people around the world celebrate the “Settimana della Lingua Italiana nel Mondo”, paying homage to the Italian language. As Italian is one of the four official languages of Switzerland, the Consulate General of Switzerland in Atlanta is eager to contribute to the promotion of the Italian language. This year, it will do so by screening ATLAS, a movie produced by the Swiss filmmaker Niccolò Castelli in the Italian-speaking canton of Ticino, in cooperation with the Department of French and Italian at Emory University. The award-winning drama about Allegra on her excruciating journey to overcome her fears after an inexplicable trauma will be shown in Italian with English subtitles. Following the screening, Production Assistant Ms. Laura Donato is delighted to share her insights on the film and to answer all your questions in person.

The event will take place on Tuesday, October 18 at 6:30PM in the Goodrich C. White Hall (room 207) at Emory University. As seats are limited, follow the link to register here for free.
