The Settimana della Lingua Italiana (Italian Language Week) is an occasion to celebrate and promote the Italian language across the world.
To mark this celebration, the Consulate General of Switzerland in New York and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Atlanta are pleased to host a free virtual screening of “Frontaliers Disasters” (2017, 110 min).
Directed by Alberto Meroni, this Swiss comedy follows Bussenghi an Italian frontier worker who is always late for work because of Bernasconi the Swiss border guard who takes his job very seriously. The two enemies are suddenly forced to work together to settle their own problems. Can the pair work past the differences between Swiss and Italian mentalities and become friends to get out of the predicaments they have gotten themselves into?
The film is spoken in Italian with English subtitles available.
