Operation HOPE has dedicated the past decades to increasing financial literacy among those who are most vulnerable economically. The goal is to lift individuals trapped in poverty through what John Hope Bryant calls “silver rights.”

Now the economy is facing not only a recession, but a full-blown depression. The spread of the coronavirus is spotlighting the racial and socioeconomic disparities within communities and revealing the deep unequal access to health care. COVID-19 does not discriminate, but it does affect some much more severely.
