The Future of the Cuban Economy – Dinner at the Atlanta Federal Reserve Bank

On Tuesday, February 7, the World Affairs Council of Atlanta will host a dinner reception and a high-level discussion at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. The program features two of the most renowned Cuban economists from the University of Havana: Dr. Carmelo Mesa-Lago and Dr. Omar Everleny Pérez Villanueva. Atlanta Fed President Dennis Lockhart will make opening remarks; council president Charles Shapiro will moderate the discussion. Ambassador Jeffrey DeLaurentis, chargé d’affaires at the U.S. Embassy in Havana, has been invited but has not confirmed his participation. The cost is $35 for members of the World Affairs Council and $50 for non-members.
