German Bierfest
German Bierfest is Atlanta’s longest-running and coolest beer festival. Atlanta’s German Bierfest started in 2003 out of a simple idea: create a day to showcase and celebrate German culture with authentic German beer, food, and music. When it started it felt like a backyard get-together with 150 guests and a selection of 16 German beers. The event was a hit, and the founding team was inspired to grow the event and share it with the City of Atlanta. Throughout the years, German Bierfest moved to larger locations to accommodate growing crowds, more beers, and activities. Today German Bierfest is on the ‘must-do’ list of Atlanta’s late summer festivals attracting thousands of festival fans and beer lovers each year.
Join the GACC-SE on Saturday, August 20th for the next edition of German Bierfest at Historic Fourth Ward Skatepark in the City of Atlanta. From 1:00pm – 6:00pm, enjoy complimentary German Bier and Wine tastings (over 50 varieties), authentic music performances, and fun bier themed activations.
Atlanta area German restaurants and food vendors will serve up authentic cuisines such as bratwurst, döners, pretzels, sauerkraut, schnitzel, and more!
