Grimm Night – Grim Tales: An Eerie Happy Hour of Unhappy Endings

On February 9 through March 2, PushPush Arts Theater and Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta present the premiere of “Grimm Night – Grim Tales”, an eerie happy hour of unhappy endings and grotesquerie, a tragic comedy inspired by 18 unknown tales of the world-famous Brothers Grimm, the writers behind such popular fairy tales like Cinderella, Snow White, and many others. But beware: the tales in this production are not for little children. Surprisingly modern and utterly from “once upon a time”, this production leads the audience through a whirlwind of 18 interconnected short tales, originating from the dark forests and sparkling castles of old Germany, exploring the human experience from birth through death, with an unflinching bluntness that would make even Rumpelstiltskin stand still in disbelief and laughter.
