Honduras Hope – Mardis Gras Carnival 2023

Join the Honduras Agalta Valley Education Foundation for a fun evening of entertainment and inspiration as they bring together Atlanta’s business and philanthropic communities to support the Honduras Agalta Valley Education Foundation (HAVE) and its transformative efforts to provide quality education for the children of that region.
The evening’s theme—Mardi Gras Carnival—fuses the February celebrations of Latin Carnival and Mardi Gras. The night will feature authentic Latin and Cajun cuisine, a silent auction filled with must-have sports, entertainment and travel items, and inspiring stories shared by members of the Wilderness Team, who partner with the people of the Agalta Valley to improve their quality of life.
HAVE will honor the Dooleys—Barbara and her late husband Vince—with the 2023 Heart for Honduras Award, given each year to individuals who have shown a deep commitment to the people of the Agalta Valley. As long- standing members of the Wilderness Team, both Barbara and Vince have left an indelible mark through their kindness, and generosity.
George Bennett will receive the Changing the World Award, a new award that celebrates the contributions of individuals who share their time and talents with students and young people in the local communities.
Finally, the evening will include a Wilderness Team video by Byron Small, and the 2023 HAVE Wilderness Team Hall of Fame Inductions.
