Honoring Heroes: Veterans Day Equipment Giveaway for Vietnamese-American Veterans

Friends of Disabled Adults and Children (FODAC) and First Senior Center of Georgia proudly present a special Veterans Day ceremony dedicated to honoring Vietnamese-American veterans who served as high-ranking military officials during the Vietnam War. These veterans came to the United States through the Humanitarian Operation Program, which provided resettlement assistance to former POWs and political detainees seeking freedom and a fresh start.
In recognition of their service and sacrifices, FODAC and First Senior Center will distribute essential home medical equipment, including wheelchairs, walkers, oxygen supplies, bathing aids, and personal care kits to veterans and seniors in need. Additionally, First Senior Center will present FODAC with a $1,000 check to support ongoing efforts to serve the disabled and senior communities.

Background: The Humanitarian Operation Program, which supported the resettlement of former Vietnamese POWs and political detainees, gave these veterans a new start in America.
