International Business Webinar Series: Designing the Introductory IB Course (Part 1)
August 4, 2020 at 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

International Business Webinar Series Hosted by GSU-CIBER
Interested in learning how different business schools design and deliver their introductory international business course?
If so, join us for a two-part webinar highlighting content, design, and delivery of the Introductory IB Course. Four seasoned colleagues at different programs will share their experiences and make syllabi and other teaching resources available to you. Examples of how different business schools address these issues will be provided in two consecutive weekly sessions on August 4 & 11. Featured are master teachers from larger business schools such as Georgia State University, University of Texas at Austin, and Indiana University as well as smaller programs such as Willamette University and Saint Anselm College.
August 4 – Part One with Professor Linda Gerber from University of Texas at Austin and Professor Gary Knight from Willamette University
August 11 – Part Two with Professor P. Roberto Garcia from Indiana University and Professor Dina Frutos-Bencze from Saint Anselm College
Key takeaways:
• Alternative ways content and pedagogy can be blended to meet course learning objectives.
• Familiarize yourself with appropriate assessment approaches.
• Obtain useful materials to help incorporate unique teaching resources you can adopt in your own teaching (e.g. syllabi, learning objectives, recommended readings, exercises, cases, videos, and others).
