International Rescue Committee (IRC) Flight Portfolio

Opening September 23 at the Oglethorpe University Museum of Art, “The International Rescue Committee (IRC) Flight Portfolio,” is an artistic celebration of Varian Fry, the “American Schindler,” and the International Rescue Committee for their constant commitment to saving our world one rescue mission at a time. Created in the late 1960s to early 1970s at the behest of Varian Fry, the IRC Flight Portfolio has raised awareness, funds, and has led the celebration for the vital work of the IRC for more than forty years. This portfolio includes twelve hors d’commerce deluxe edition lithographs and serigraphs by artists Eugene Berman, Alexander Calder, Marc Chagall, Vieira da Silva, Adolph Gottlieb, Wifredo Lam, Jaques Lipchitz, André Masson, Joan Miró, Robert Motherwell, Edouard Pignon, and Fritz Wotruba.
