Lunch and Learn: The Language of Conflict

The Atlantic Institute and Go Eat Give are excited to announce a series of speakers and panel discussion to raise awareness of intercultural beliefs around the world. The fourth event of the series will host a panel of esteemed speakers to discuss how everyday people can talk about conflict without being offensive to other cultures, religious and political beliefs. 

The Panelists Include:

  • Hrair Balian, Director of Conflict Resolution program at The Carter Center. Hrair Balian has served as the Director since 2008.
  • Dr. Mustafa Gokhan Sahin, Director of Academic Affairs at Atlantic Institute Atlanta. Dr Mustafa Gokhan Sahin has served as Director of Academic Affairs for over 3 years. 
  • Abbas Barzegar, Ph.D. Assistant Professor, Department of Religious Studies at Georgia State University. Abbas Barzegar’s specializes in Sunni-Shiite polemics, political Islam and African American Muslim history.
  • Lance R. Askildson, Ph.D. Vice-Provost & Chief International Officer at Kennesaw State University. Dr. Lance R. Askildson has served as the Vice-Provost and Chief International Officer at Kennesaw State University since 2013.
