My Hindu Friend screenings
January 17, 2020 at 10:00 am - January 24, 2020 at 10:00 pm
Rock Salt Releasing would like to invite film lovers in Georgia to the week long theatrical event of past cinema legend / Oscar nominee, Hector Babenco’s (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Carandiru, Pixote) final feature film, MY HINDU FRIEND (aka ‘Meu Amigo Hindu’), from Jan. 17th-24th at the Aurora Cineplex (Roswell, GA).
Inspired by Babenco’s personal journey, MY HINDU FRIEND stars four-time Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Florida Project) as “Diego”, a talented American filmmaker, whose life is quickly disrupted after being diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. Through a series of heart-wrenching events, Diego’s life is changed forever when he befriends a young Hindu boy.
Showcasing in select cities (NY, LA, Cleveland, Detroit, Boston, Minneapolis, ATL, Phoenix, Houston, Chicago), MY HINDU FRIEND is a story about the rebirth of man who suddenly loses everything: his career, friendships and sexual life, as he finds himself having to start over again.
