Red Bull Dance Your Style

Coming back for its second triumphant year, global street dance competition Red Bull Dance Your Style returns to Atlanta on Friday, May 13th, at The Masquerade – Heaven. Bringing together the best in hip-hop, house, waacking, popping, krumping, locking, and more, Red Bull Dance Your Style will celebrate the local dance scene and the artists, movers & creators carving out Atlanta’s legacy within street dance.

The region’s top street dancers will go head to head, via bracket-style tournament, performing against a spontaneous soundtrack. An audience of dance lovers will play judge, ultimately deciding which dancer will advance from each qualifier to the Red Bull Dance Your Style National Finals USA in New Orleans, spanning a full weekend from Saturday, May 21 through Sunday, May 22. With no panel of judges, no planned choreography, and no pre-chosen music, it’s all about embracing the moment, wowing the crowd, and moving to the beat.

A major cultural hub, Atlanta has made principal contributions to pop culture as we know today through the artists, musicians, historical figures, athletes, personalities and more coming from the city. Red Bull Dance Your Style aims to bring the city together to shed light on Atlanta’s incomparable energy and honor the local dance community. See it first-hand as the best dancers from the region battle for a shot at the Red Bull Dance Your Style Atlanta Championship title.

The evening will be hosted by local legends Paige Shari & SideShow. DJ Jash Jay will provide a spontaneous soundtrack of mainstream hits to timeless classics for the night, and audiences will enjoy special showcase performances by Bad Boy Skate Crew and trend dance leaders, Toosie, Big Matt, Rugrxt Reese.

Red Bull Dance Your Style Atlanta Competitors:

• BAM – Representing Atlanta, BAM is part of the ‘Dragon House’ dance crew, featured on So You Think You Can Dance, The Jimmy Fallon Show, and BET. His main dance style consists of Tutting, Animation, Hip-Hop Freestyle.
• Ja’don Christian – “Ja’don Christian also known as “Enerjaee” is a Professional Dancer, Contortionist, and multi-faceted artist born and raised in St.Croix, United States Virgin Islands. She now specializes in Popping Animation, Bone-breaking and Tutting, but also incorporates elements of other dance styles like Waacking, Voguing, Contemporary, Ballet and Contortion.  Enerjaee has performed and partnered with various brands/artists like World of Dance, Macklemore, Casanova, Governors Ball Music Festival and more.
• DonSoup – DonSoup has been dancing for over 7 years now, performing with celebrities like Chris Brown, Teyana Taylor, and many other artists. In addition, he has competed and won many battle events such as Gr818ers , Battlefest, and Da Modd. His primary dance style is Dancehall.
• Olivia Danso – Born in Boston and raised in the city of Atlanta, Olivia Danso is half Ghanian and half Liberian, representing the West African diaspora. She has worked alongside Kanye West, Teyana Taylor, Rick Ross, Tekno, and Yemi Alade just to name a few. Her primary dance style is Afrobeats.
