Virtual exchange (also known as Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL), Globally Networked Learning, or Telecollaboration) extends authentic opportunities for intercultural and transnational learning to students within the curriculum of college and university classrooms. Through co-developed and co-taught modules, Virtual Exchange supports the development of 21st-century workforce skills and provides opportunities for applied learning experiences.

Dr. Mourad Dakhli
Clinical Professor of International Business
Director, Master of International Business
J. Mack Robinson College of Business
Georgia State University

 

Dr. Dakhli is professor of International Business and holds a Ph.D. from the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. His research centers on the value-generating processes of human and social capital across different cultural and institutional settings and the implications on learning and innovation. Prior to joining GSU, he served as a faculty member at the American University of Kuwait, and taught at various places including the University of South Carolina, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy (Azerbaijan), the Caucasus School of Business (Republic of Georgia), and others.

His prior work experience includes developing and marketing industry training programs, managing capacity development projects at a number of academic institutions, and directing the activities of a bi-national chamber of commerce responsible for the promotion and implementation of a wide array of international trade and investment initiatives.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Rihab Abba
Professor Researcher
ESCA Ecole de Management Casablanca

Rihab ABBA holds a PhD in Advertising Discourse from Hassan II University in Mohammedia as well as a Third Cycle Degree in French Language and Literature. From 2001-04, ABBA worked as a Program Manager at Afrique Challenge office for continuous training, then as Manager General of Capermar, both subsidiaries in Morocco of COGEFI Afrique Group. She was Head of Pedagogical Department at ESCA Ecole de Management Casablanca from 2004-06.

ABBA has taught Communication and Management classes since 1999. Her areas of expertise are Business Communication, Problem Solving and Complexity Management.

In 2017, jointly with co-author Z. MAAROUFI, she was awarded the Prize of Best Case Study in the TEMPUS PORFIRE Project, a multi-country Joint Project funded by the European Union. She was also awarded the Prize of Best Innovation in Education at ESCA School of Management.

ABBA is a faculty member and researcher at ESCA Ecole de Management, where she is also in charge of International Business Program.

The International Business Webinar Series is a project of the national CIBER Minority Serving Institution (MSI) Consortium, led by Georgia State University CIBER and sponsored by CIBERs at Florida International University, George Washington University, Indiana University, Loyola Marymount University, Michigan State University, Temple University, Texas A&M University, University of Colorado-Denver, and the University of Maryland.
