Consular Conversation Luncheon: Interview With Indonesia’s Consul General Nana Yuliana

Editor’s Note: A previous version of this event listed His Excellency Mahendar Siregar, Ambassador of Indonesia to the United States, as an interviewee. However, due to an unforeseen schedule change, Mr. Siregar will have to leave before the luncheon, and the interview will only be conducted with Consul General Nana Yuliana, who covers Georgia from her office in Houston. 

Join Global Atlanta for a special edition of the Consular Conversations series focused on Indonesia, this time featuring Indonesia’s top diplomat for the Southeast U.S., Consul General Nana Yuliana.

About Our Speaker:

Consul General Nana Yuliana

Consul General Nana Yuliana has been serving her duties as the Consul General since September 2017. Prior to her position as Consul General, she was the Director of Mid-career Diplomatic School at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia. From 2008-2015, she was the Counselor of Economic

Affairs at the Embassy of Indonesia in Bangkok and Permanent
Representative of Indonesia to the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP).
Her bachelor’s degree was English Education from Institute of Teacher’s Training in Jakarta, the she pursued her master’s degree in Applied Linguistic for Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia and International Studies from University of Indonesia in Jakarta. She completed her Doctoral Degree in Development Studies from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila,
Philippines, in 2006.

She is married to Imam Bogie Yudhaswara and they are blessed with two
children.

 

 

 

 

 

Starting at noon, the luncheon will serve as the capstone for a morning business forum set to begin at 9:30 a.m., giving Atlantans the chance to interact with a visiting Indonesian delegation that includes Ambassador Mahendra Siregar, as well as local companies doing business in the Southeast Asian nation.
