Takeda Facility Tour

Takeda, located in Covington, GA, is recognized as one of the largest, newest, and most innovative pharmaceutical plants in the world. Spanning 1 million square feet of production space, the facility employs over 1,000 full-time employees and represents an investment of more than $1.2 billion in construction costs.
Next Generation Manufacturing invites attendees to experience a tour of this remarkable facility, which specializes in the production of plasma-derived therapies. These pharmaceuticals are designed to treat patients with primary immune deficiencies and various rare and complex diseases.
Takeda’s 160-acre integrated campus features three manufacturing buildings, multiple laboratories, a warehouse equipped with ambient, cold, and freezer storage, utilities production, office space, and an impressive two-story commons building. The commons area includes a full-service cafeteria, a coffee bar, a fitness center, and a patio.
Participants will also have the opportunity to tour the Georgia Quick Start BioScience Training Center, a $14 million, 40,000-square-foot facility. The Training Center serves as a cornerstone of Georgia’s long-term initiative to foster and expand the life sciences industry.
