The United States and WWI: A Soldier’s Journey — A Cocktail Culturel and Presentation by Monique Seefried, Ph.D.

Join Dr. Monique Seefried for a Special Presentation on World War I
Dr. Monique Seefried is a commissioner on the U.S. WWI Centennial Commission (2014-2024) and has published extensively on the history of World War I and II, as well as on archaeology. Born in Tunisia and raised in Austria, France, and Italy, Dr. Seefried holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Paris-Sorbonne. She moved to Atlanta in 1977 and has since made significant contributions to education and the museum world, including her role as Curator of Near Eastern Art at the Carlos Museum of Emory University.
Dr. Seefried serves on various boards, including the Agnes Scott College Board of Visitors and the Leadership Board of the Carlos Museum at Emory University. She is also recognized with numerous honors from the French government, including knighthood in the French Order of the Academic Palms, the Order of Merit, and the Legion of Honor.
