Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID19 World

The United Nations’ theme for International Women’s Day 2021 is Women in Leadership: Achieving an Equal Future in a COVID-19 World. The pandemic has placed tremendous additional burdens on the shoulders of women and girls around the world. The UN celebrates women’s efforts to achieve a more equal future as we recover from the pandemic and the economic recession.

There is no one better than Ambassador Louise Blais, Canada’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations and former Consul General of Canada in Atlanta, to discuss this issue. The senior diplomat and leader will discuss both her work at the UN and what it takes for women to turn this crisis into an opportunity to fly through glass ceilings.
