Sunday, April 17: The U.S.-China Peoples Friendship Assocation, Atlanta chapter, and the China Research Center at Kennesaw State University, is to co-sponsor a “Meet the Authors” forum and reception, which is to be held in Lower Evans Hall on the Agnes Scott College campus, 141 East College Ave., Decatur, Ga., 30030, at 4 p.m. Free and open to the public.
Two associates of the China Research Center are to discuss their recently published books and respond to questions from the audience.
They are Professor Fei-ling Wang of the Georgia Institute of Technology who has investigatged China’s household registration system, and Professor Rong Cai of Emory University who has studied the presentation of the self in recent Chinese literature.

Jean-David Levitte, the French ambassador to the U.S., is to attend the event.
The French chamber gala has been organized annually since the chamber was formed in 1985. It also is to take place at the Intercontinental Hotel on Friday, April 29, beginning at 7:30 p.m. The cost to attend for FACC members is $85 and for nonmembers, $100.
