DESCRIPTION:Books For Africa’s Georgia Warehouse Party is June 26th! \nJoin Books For Africa during the grand opening of Books For Africa’s new warehouse on June 26th! \nIn addition to refreshments and music by the BFA Warehouse Band\, the event will feature keynote speaker Her Excellency Hilda Suka-Mafudze\, the African Union’s Ambassador to the U.S.\, along with remarks by BFA Founder Tom Warth\, BFA Board President Joni Sussman\, and other dignitaries. \nThey look forward to seeing you there! \nAbout Books For Africa\nBooks For Africa was founded upon a singular mission: to end the book famine in Africa. BFA collects\, sorts\, and ships books\, computers\, tablets\, and library enhancement materials to every country in Africa. In collaboration with worldwide donors\, publishers\, and African partners\, we provide the tools of empowerment to children and students across Africa. Our vision is an Africa rich in readers- in classrooms\, during leisure time in libraries\, and throughout university and prosperous careers. We supply varied\, relevant books in English\, French\, and national languages\, computers and tablets with digital content\, specialty post-secondary materials\, and supplies to create vibrant learning spaces. \nBooks For Africa remains the largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent\, shipping over 51 million books and serving all 55 countries on the African continent since 1988.  Last year alone\, Books For Africa shipped 3.7 million books valued at over $38 million\, and 167 computers and e-readers containing nearly 300\,000 digital books\, to 20 African countries. More than $3.2 million was raised last year to ship these books to the students of Africa.
