SUMMARY:Women’s Series 5th Anniversary Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Women’s Series are joint events of the Belgian\, French\, Netherlands and German American Chambers of Commerce as well as the British American Business Council\, and the Japan-America Society of Georgia. Started in January 2014\, the Women’s Series holds quarterly business events for professional women of the Atlanta international community. \nThe goal of the Women’s Series is to bring educational and stimulating content to our attendees\, while also facilitating professional opportunities and networking among peers. \nWe are proud to offer topics to help connect and develop the women of our communities. \nThe Women’s Series are initiated and supported by FACC Board member Rose Catherin. \nWe came together in 2014 with a vision to bring women (and sometimes men) of the Atlanta international community together for educational events and great networking. \nOver the years\, our attendees have shared the positive impacts of the Women’s Series on their professional and personal journeys\, the new contacts they developed and the learnings they received from our diverse speakers. At every quarterly event\, the filled rooms show us that we are definitely meeting a need in our communities. \nThis year we are celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Women’s Series and we invite you to join us at F&B to celebrate with us! \nDon’t miss this unique opportunity to get to know some of our past speakers\, loyal attendees and fantastic partners.

SUMMARY:Luncheon Honoring the 50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia
DESCRIPTION:To recognize the accomplishments of these gifted leaders\, the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce presents the first annual “50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia.” The nominations of the men and women selected for this prestigious honor have gone through a rigorous process to evaluate contributions they have made. Weighing heavily on the final selection was the degree of influence each person exhibited in their role as a representative of the Latino community. It is one thing to be successful but quite another to ensure others are successful as well. For that positive influence\, the GHCC is thankful and is delighted to recognize the “50 Most Influential Latinos in Georgia” for 2018. Come celebrate  the month of Hispanic Heritage recognizing Latinos who are examples for our community.

SUMMARY:Year of Morocco: The Case of the Ben M'Sik Community Museum
DESCRIPTION:Partnering With a Moroccan University: The Case of the Ben M’Sik Community Museum \nThe Ben M’sik Community Museum (BMCM) is a burgeoning museum housed at Faculty of Letters and Humanities\, Ben M’sik\, Casablanca\, Morocco\, located at the heart of the diverse Ben M’sik neighborhood of Casablanca. The decision to create the Ben M’sik Community Museum\, the first of its kind in Morocco\, is an indication of its commitment to establish deeper contacts with the community it serves. The BMCM’s mission “to preserve memory by interpreting\, exhibiting\, and promoting the stories of the diverse populations of the neighborhood and its region” supports the University’s own mission of increasing the number of interactions with partners belonging to its socio-economic environment. \nOf the less than 20 museums in Morocco\, the BMCM is one of two located in Casablanca. The BMCM is unique in its focus as a center of community engagement. Unlike traditional museums that primarily collect and display antiquities and great works of art\, the BMCM specifically seeks to document the day-to-day lives of local residents. \nFeaturing: Dr. Catherine Lewis\, Assistant Vice President for Museums\, Archives and Rare Books\, KSU
