DESCRIPTION:The volunteer families of the Atlantic Institute cordially invite the friends of the Atlantic institute to their homes for a fast-breaking dinner during the upcoming Ramadan. \nDuring the month of Ramadan\, Muslims fast by abstaining from consuming water or food while the sun is out. Iftar – or fast breaking – dinners occur each night once the sun sets. This is an important time not only for those who participate in Ramadan because of their faith\, but also it is an important time for gathering with friends and neighbors over delicious food and through lively conversation. It is truly a special time when people of all backgrounds come together and share in the Iftar experience\, learning about different cultures and faiths. \nThis year Ramadan begins on March 22nd depending on the moon sighting. Host families will begin offering the Iftar dinners between March 26th – April 10th.
