A career diplomat with more than 30 years of service and a member of the Mexican Foreign Service since 2001\, he holds the rank of Minister and has extensive experience in foreign policy\, consular protection\, national security\, and strategic communication. \n\n\n\nPrior to his current role\, he served as Head of the Consular Section at the Embassy of Mexico in the United States\, where he led efforts to provide documentation and assistance to hundreds of thousands of Mexican nationals. Prior to the USA she served as Political and Economic Counsellor at the Belgian Embassy in Rabat (2020-2024). \n\n\n\nBetween 2017 and 2020\, she served as counsellor at the Department for EuropeanCoordination within the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs\, responsible for matters related to transport\, telecom/digital and energy/green deal. \n\n\n\nShe holds a Master degree in Political Sciences – International Relations from the University of Ghent (2000)\, Belgium\, and followed post-graduates courses in Regional cooperation – Mercosur at the University of Buenos Aires in Argentina(2001-2003). \n\n\n\nShe is fluent in 6 languages: Dutch\, French\, English\, Spanish\, Italian and German.
