The performance is hosted by the Atlanta Care and Assistance Association and several local Taiwanese American organizations. \n\n\n\nIn addition to native cultural customs\, immigrants also brought various distinctive customs to Taiwan\, creating Taiwan’s unique multicultural landscape.  \n\n\n\nThis program features the essence of acrobatics and its distinctive techniques\, combining drama\, dance\, and music to present a large-scale interdisciplinary acrobatic performance.  \n\n\n\nSongs in Mandarin\, Taiwanese\, Hakka\, Cantonese\, and indigenous languages tell stories that belong to Taiwan. DESCRIPTION:This event is part of the annual France-Atlanta series organized by Georgia Tech and the Embassy of France in the United States. \n\n\n\nReco Reco\, an electronic music trio from Toulouse drawing inspiration from traditional South American rhythms\, comes to the Goat Farm in Atlanta on October 5\, 2024 to play during “Site”.The invitation of Reco Reco is in celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the sister city partnership between the cities of Atlanta and Toulouse. This event is a partnership between Villa Albertine\, the Goat Farm\, France-Altanta\, and ELEVATE. \n\n\n\nReco Reco‘s music is at once futuristic and ancestral\, where traditional South American rhythms meet the deepest infrabasses of European dancefloors. The three members of Reco Reco nourish their sound with cumbia\, merengue\, Mexican 3ball and Brazilian forro and baião\, each adding their own distinctive touch\, and fuse these traditional rhythms with today’s electro sounds. The result is an innovative and powerful sound\, accompanied by a contagious on-stage energy! DESCRIPTION:Created by Yamoussa Bangoura and inspired by daily life in his native Guinea\, “Afrique en Cirque” (Africa in Circus) presented by performers of Cirque Kalabanté portrays the beauty\, youth and artistry of West African culture. \n\n\n\nThe Rialto stage will vibrate with energy representing the strength\, agility and joys of young West Africans through a show that is colorful beyond its costumes\, scenery and staging. Acrobats will execute gravity-defying moves and human pyramids accompanied by contemporary Afro-Jazz\, percussion and kora. \n\n\n\nAfter joining Guinea’s original Circus Baobab as a young man\, Bangoura’s dream of founding a school of circus arts evolved through his own performances in and contributions to several Canadian theatrical productions including Cirque du Soleil\, Cirque Eloize and Cavalia.
