SUMMARY:Oglethorpe Theatre Presents Spring Awakening
DESCRIPTION:Oglethorpe Theatre presents “Spring Awakening” \nBook & Lyrics by Steven Sater \nMusic by Duncan Sheik \nDirected by Richard Garner \nThe winner of eight Tony Awards\, including Best Musical\, Spring Awakening is a groundbreaking rock musical about adolescent love\, the trials of puberty\, and the friendships that young people build in the face of an uncomprehending world. Inspired by Frank Wedekind’s once-banned and still provocative German play from 1891\, this Spring Awakening holds a mirror up to our own time\, and has become a must-see musical of a new generation.

SUMMARY:Germanic Language & Dialect Series - Österreichische Dialekte
DESCRIPTION:German leaners across the globe have had the experience of traveling abroad and realizing the German they learned in the classroom is not the German they heard in Europe. Why is that? There are numerous dialects throughout all of the German-speaking countries\, and even within a variety there can be several other subcategories. The Germanic Language and Dialect Series will present derivatives of the standard variety also known as “Hochdeutsch.” Native speakers and language experts will provide background information\, historical context\, and numerous examples. It will be a fun\, interactive afternoon as each session will explore a new dialect in Germany\, Austria\, and Switzerland.

SUMMARY:France-Atlanta 2019 Humanitarian Forum
DESCRIPTION:Logistics and supply chain management remains an often overlooked but crucial aspect of our daily lives. Over the course of two panel discussions\, experts will touch on medical commodities\, the use of pre-packed kits and the opportunity for collaboration between corporations and humanitarian organizations. They will also explore the connection between Atlanta-based programming and organizations with global humanitarian logistics programing. \nReception to follow.
