SUMMARY:2023 Dunwoody Great Decisions Virtual Lecture Series – Politics in Latin America
DESCRIPTION:The annual 2023 Dunwoody Great Decisions Foreign Policy Lecture Series will take place via Zoom every Thursday evening from February 2 – March 23\, 2023 at 7:30 PM. There is a fee to register for the virtual lecture series\, and registration is required to receive the event link. \nMarch 2\, 2023\, Topic: Politics in Latin America\nElectoral results in Latin America over the past four years have led many observers of the regional/political scene to discern a left-wing surge in the hemisphere\, reminiscent of the so-called “Pink Tide” that swept the area some 20 years ago. But how much do these politicians actually have in common? What implication does their ascendency have for the region? \nSpeaker: Dr. Kirk Bowman\, Georgia Institute of Technology \nPlease note\, topics and speakers are subject to change dates. \nGreat Decisions\, presented by the Foreign Policy Association (FPA)\, highlights the most thought-provoking foreign policy challenges facing Americans each year. GCIV is the statewide coordinator for the nonpartisan program. To view the other 2023 topics or learn more about Great Decisions\, visit Gciv.org/programs/gd.
