SUMMARY:La Feria ATLANTA Flamenco
DESCRIPTION:SPRING IN ATLANTA WITH FLAMENCO \nA Través is dancing\, singing\, and cooking during La Feria\, with events in Atlanta and Seville\, Spain. \nJoin A Través on April 10\, 17\, and 24 for online dance and singing classes\, a cooking demonstration\, and a chat with friends in Seville\, as they celebrate the connection between flamenco in Atlanta and life in Andalucía. \nEvery year in Seville\, Spain\, La Feria de Abril kicks off spring two weeks after an extravagant celebration Easter in the same city. For several days\, Seville residents and people visiting the city gather under glowing lights and in the twirls of the ruffles of the traje de flamenco\, a confection donned by women at this special time of year. People of all ages dance to live music performances of some of the songs most synonymous with Andalucía\, including sevillianas\, bulerías\, and tangos flamencos. \nIn 2021\, the giant gathering is being replaced by smaller events that adhere to safety guidelines of the COVID-19 pandemic yet still spark spring fever. SUMMARY:Consular Conversations: Denmark
DESCRIPTION:A small country with big ambitions\, Denmark has long been a laboratory for experiments in socially responsible governance. If the country’s consistent top-three ranking in the World Happiness Index is any indication\, they’re working.  \nDenmark’s latest moonshot is a climate law that will hold the country accountable for cutting greenhouse gases 70 percent by 2030\, all while preserving economic growth. The key to future success? Innovation and technology.  \nThat’s where Georgia comes in: The state is already the top exporter of items like aircraft engines\, peanuts and paper\, but there is ample room to further connect innovation ecosystems in mutually strong areas like advanced manufacturing\, renewable energy and financial technology. With investments in the state\, Danish firms like water meter maker Kamstrup\, aerospace manufacturer Terma and vehicle exhaust system maker Dinex Group have already laid the groundwork for greater collaboration.  \nJoin Global Atlanta on April 12 at 11 a.m. for an in-depth conversation with Ambassador Berit Basse\, Denmark’s consul general New York\, whose office covers economic relations with Georgia and most of the East Coast.  \nChristopher N. Smith\, Denmark’s honorary consul in Georgia\, will provide opening remarks.  \nDiscussion Topics: \n\nAmbassador Basse’s work in Singapore\, Africa and beyond and how it exemplifies Denmark’s solutions-oriented economic diplomacy\n\nDanish investment in Georgia\n\nRole of innovation and manufacturing partnerships in meeting Denmark’s climate goals\n\nDenmark’s approach to COVID-19\n\nPotential partnerships in forestry\, fintech and beyond\n\n\nAbout the Consular Conversations series:  \nSponsored by Miller & Martin PLLC since its inception in 2016\, Global Atlanta’s Consular Conversations series consists of monthly public interviews with consuls general in the Southeast United States. Traditionally held as in-person luncheons in Midtown Atlanta\, the series transitioned to virtual forums with the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020.  \nAbout the Consul General\, Ambassador Berit Basse:\nAmbassador Berit Basse\, current consul general of Denmark in New York\nAmbassador Basse has enjoyed an expansive diplomatic career that has taken her around the world — from Senegal and Munich to Singapore and Uganda. \nFrom 2012 to 2016\, Amb. Basse served as Denmark’s Ambassador to Singapore and Brunei\, successfully overseeing key commercial and diplomatic relationships between Denmark and the two States. She has also served as First Secretary at the Embassy of Denmark in Uganda and Consul General of Denmark in Munich\, Germany.   \nMeanwhile\, from 1992 to 1996\, the Ambassador worked on several development projects for the United Nations Development Programme in Senegal. Immediately prior to her New York posting\, Ambassador Basse also led the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ department in charge of client relations and global commercial opportunities. \nAmbassador Basse assumed her role at the helm of Denmark In New York on September 1st\, 2020. \nAbout Honorary Consul Christopher N. Smith: \n\n\nChristopher N. Smith. Photo by Bonnie Moret\n\nChristopher N. Smith\, an attorney in Macon\, Ga.\, represents Denmark in the state as honorary consul.\n\nSince 1991\, Chris Smith’s law practice has helped individuals and businesses alike with a broad range of business and personal matters. SUMMARY:Atlanta Global Studies Symposium: Day 1\, Elizabeth F. Cohen\, Author of "Illegal"
DESCRIPTION:Elizabeth F. Cohen\, the keynote speaker on the opening day of the Atlanta Global Studies Symposium\, will discuss her recent book\, “Illegal: How America’s Lawless Immigration Regime Threatens Us All.” Cohen will narrate the country’s descent into anti-immigrant panic\, tracing the origins of our obsession with illegality to the country’s first comprehensive immigration restriction law. That nativist legislation paved the way for today’s sprawling enforcement apparatus\, whose budget and power now dwarf that of any other federal law enforcement agency. She will speak about how past legislation can help us confront this crisis of corruption and abuse and what to expect from the new administration.

SUMMARY:CYBER 2.0 4th Hacking Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The big hacker challenge promises a $ 100\,000 prize for anyone who manages to hack its system. \nEvery cyber company in the world claims that its system is the best. How many are willing to put their claim to the test of all the hackers in the world? \nCyber 2.0 has been doing this for four years in a row. \nThe tested scenario is defined as any information security manager’s nightmare in an organization: a hacker breaches the security of the organization\, disables all existing protection systems\, has a User\, Admin\, Password\, and can now do whatever he pleases in the organization. \nDuring the challenge\, Cyber 2.0 deploys a network of a few computers\, simulating a company’s network. Every hacker gets access to this network\, just as if he were part of the organization. He does not need to hack the firewall or disable antiviruses. As for the hacker\, he is already within the organization. The only difference between him and the network computers is that the company’s software is not installed on his computer. According to the company\, no such hacker will be able to communicate with the other computers on the network. \nIn the company’s previous challenges\, all hackers failed in their attempt to hack the system.\nIn 2018\, the challenge took place in Israel. It was attended by 350 hackers\, including soldiers from elite units\, who tried for 6 hours\, and there were over a million attacks simultaneously to breach the system.\nIn 2019\, the challenge took place in the US. All the American hackers failed in their attempts.\nSince 2020\, the challenge has been open to hackers from all over the world. Over 3\,500 hackers\, from 16 different countries have tried to attack this system simultaneously. As mentioned\, they all failed. \nAccording to Cyber 2.0\, no penetration test performed by any company will come close to such a scope of simultaneous attacks. \nThe fourth challenge\, which will take place on April 21\, is aimed at the European market\, along with our partners Syntyche and Integrity consulting the challenge will be open to all hackers in the world. \nIt was reported that in the US hacker challenge\, a team of expert hackers arrived\, and demonstrated to all those who were present how to break into a Tesla car. At the end of their successful hack\, they stated that nothing would stop them from hacking the Cyber 2.0 system. However\, they failed and said: “We felt like people shooting Nerf darts at a castle wall.”

SUMMARY:TAG Blockchain Presents Non Fungible Tokens - NFT and the Internet of Value
DESCRIPTION:What does Dorsey’s first-ever tweet\, Nayans Cat\, a burned Banksy painting\, Grime’s music videos have in common? [They all have been minted into NFTs using blockchain technology] \nWhat do Mark Cuban\, Snoop Dog and Chamath Palihapitiya have in common? [They all are famous billionaires investing in an extensive NFT portfolio] \nWhat does Dorsey’s first-ever tweet\, a burned Banksy painting\, and Bitcoin have in common? [They all are now digital assets enabling ‘value’ transfer from peer-to-peer using blockchain technology] \nAs the world of Non-fungible Tokens exploded in the last few months\, it has left people amazed\, excited and confused. NFTs provide creators and investors the ability to sell and buy exclusively digital objects that range from weird 3D videos to songs and everything in between. And the buying and selling is happening on peer-to-peer NFT marketplaces. A new alignment is forming – creators\, sellers\, buyers\, facilitators\, market venues – all aspects of historic roles are subject to reconsideration. \nIt opens up questions: \n\nIs this another tulip mania?\nWhat is the technology underlying creating these NFTs?\nWhat is considered “value”?\nWhat is “art”?\nIntellectual property rights and copyright – Who owns what?\nHow are rights asserted? Preserved?\nBusiness models – How are creators and artists becoming part of the revenue model of their art?\nIs this a social and cultural phenomenon fueled by the technologies of the day? Have you attended an “NFT drop party” or a Clubhouse session on NFT wealth management??\nIs this sustainable use of technology? What about energy use and climate change?\nHow can you transact in NFT’s?
