Every three years the members meet at a national convention. Currently there are 16 AUSS choruses in the U.S.\, from coast to coast. \nNiklas Björling Rygert has belonged to the permanent soloist’s ensemble at the Royal Swedish Opera since 1999. He is ranked as Sweden’s foremost character tenor and has won several prestigious awards. \nThe concert will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday\, August 5th\, 2023\, at the Atlanta Marriott Northwest Hotel at 200 Interstate North Parkway\, Atlanta GA 30339\, in its new\, impressive ballroom. \nParking at the Marriott is free for concertgoers. \nPrices: Adults: $25.00; Seniors: $20.00; Students: $15.00. \nTickets can be bought using Eventbrite\, or the website\, www.vasadrangar.com or \nvia check made out to Vasa Drangar.com and mailed to:\nLilian Nordin\, 418 Hicks Farm Rd\, Acworth\, GA 30102. SUMMARY:Colombia’s Atlantic Advantage: Nearshoring Opportunities in Barranquilla
DESCRIPTION:Join ProBarranquilla\, Smith Gambrell Russell and Global Atlanta for an investment seminar and reception\n\nWith its 50 million consumers\, plentiful natural resources and skilled labor pool\, Colombia is emerging as a key partner for U.S. manufacturers\, whether re-shoring from Asia or expanding in the Western Hemisphere.\n\nBarranquilla\, situated where Magdalena River meets the Caribbean Sea\, is fast becoming a preferred base. In an age of pinched supply chains\, the coastal city’s proximity to U.S. ports — just days by sea instead of months from Asia— has grown all the more strategic.\n\nProBarranquilla\, the Investment Promotion Agency of the city of Barranquilla and the state of Atlantico\, is bringing a delegation of leaders from free trade zones and logistics clusters on an introductory trip to Georgia designed to open the door for mutually beneficial relationships.\n\nLocal firms in manufacturing\, logistics\, and other key sectors are invited for a reception at Smith Gambrell & Russell to hear how to tap into the unique advantages of Barranquilla and the state of Atlantico.\nAbout Barranquilla: \n\n Barranquilla\, capital city of the state of Atlantico\, is located in the best corner of South America\, in the northern coast of Colombia in the intersection between the Magdalena river and the Atlantic ocean.\n Industrial port-city that connects in 3-4 days with the east coast of the United States.\n Educational hub of the Colombian Caribbean region.\n 2nd largest English-speaking population in the country.\n Available skilled labor at competitive salaries.\n Favorable exchange rate makes operations in Colombia competitive compared to other economies of the region.\n Free Trade regime offer tax\, custom and operational benefits for manufacturing operations.\n 6th cleanest energy grid in the world.\n Tax exemptions to manufacturing facilities.

SUMMARY:Behind the Red Door Stageplay
DESCRIPTION:Mighty Productions presents “Behind the Red Door\,” a groundbreaking play by a Liberian playwright and author that delves into the complexities of love and the hidden truths that can lurk behind closed doors. With a focus on exploring the depths of human relationships through the effects of culture and societal pressure\, this thought-provoking production tackles the issues of domestic violence and its lasting effects on an individual. With a talented cast and a captivating storyline\, “Behind the Red Door” offers a must-see theatrical experience that entertains and sheds light on important cultural and social issues. \nAdditionally\, “Behind the Red Door” fearlessly tackles the subject of PTSD and sexual abuse\, shedding light on the effects a silent culture can have on a victim\, its devastating consequences and the healing process survivors endure. By giving voice to the survivors\, the play aims to break the silence surrounding sexual abuse and challenge the social and cultural stigmas that often shroud this issue. It provides a platform for discussions on consent\, survivor support\, and the importance of believing and validating survivors’ experiences. \nThe writer\, director\, and executive producer of this play is a born native of Liberia\, Monrovia. Every topic explored in this production is important to her because it is based on her personal experience. She has partnered with a nonprofit organization called Saprea as her charity of choice to give back proceeds from the play. Saprea exists to liberate individuals and society from child sexual abuse and its lasting impact. Their mission aligns perfectly with Ivis’ cause and so she has joined in the fight for change in hopes that she can impact a global culture that silences the victims by perpetuating certain behaviors. \nBehind the Red Door premieres on August 20th\, 2023. It will be presented on the Metro Waterproofing Main Stage at the Lawrenceville Art Center in the Bobby Sikes Fine Arts Building. This production promises to be an unforgettable experience that will leave you thinking long after the final curtain call. \nIf you’d like to support this production and help bring the powerful message of “Behind the Red Door” to life\, please visit Indiegogo and donate to the crowdfunding.
