SUMMARY:Atlanta Global Studies Symposium: Day 1\, Elizabeth F. Cohen\, Author of "Illegal"
DESCRIPTION:Elizabeth F. Cohen\, the keynote speaker on the opening day of the Atlanta Global Studies Symposium\, will discuss her recent book\, “Illegal: How America’s Lawless Immigration Regime Threatens Us All.” Cohen will narrate the country’s descent into anti-immigrant panic\, tracing the origins of our obsession with illegality to the country’s first comprehensive immigration restriction law. That nativist legislation paved the way for today’s sprawling enforcement apparatus\, whose budget and power now dwarf that of any other federal law enforcement agency. She will speak about how past legislation can help us confront this crisis of corruption and abuse and what to expect from the new administration.

SUMMARY:CYBER 2.0 4th Hacking Challenge
DESCRIPTION:The big hacker challenge promises a $ 100\,000 prize for anyone who manages to hack its system. \nEvery cyber company in the world claims that its system is the best. How many are willing to put their claim to the test of all the hackers in the world? \nCyber 2.0 has been doing this for four years in a row. \nThe tested scenario is defined as any information security manager’s nightmare in an organization: a hacker breaches the security of the organization\, disables all existing protection systems\, has a User\, Admin\, Password\, and can now do whatever he pleases in the organization. \nDuring the challenge\, Cyber 2.0 deploys a network of a few computers\, simulating a company’s network. Every hacker gets access to this network\, just as if he were part of the organization. He does not need to hack the firewall or disable antiviruses. As for the hacker\, he is already within the organization. The only difference between him and the network computers is that the company’s software is not installed on his computer. According to the company\, no such hacker will be able to communicate with the other computers on the network. \nIn the company’s previous challenges\, all hackers failed in their attempt to hack the system.\nIn 2018\, the challenge took place in Israel. It was attended by 350 hackers\, including soldiers from elite units\, who tried for 6 hours\, and there were over a million attacks simultaneously to breach the system.\nIn 2019\, the challenge took place in the US. All the American hackers failed in their attempts.\nSince 2020\, the challenge has been open to hackers from all over the world. Over 3\,500 hackers\, from 16 different countries have tried to attack this system simultaneously. As mentioned\, they all failed. \nAccording to Cyber 2.0\, no penetration test performed by any company will come close to such a scope of simultaneous attacks. \nThe fourth challenge\, which will take place on April 21\, is aimed at the European market\, along with our partners Syntyche and Integrity consulting the challenge will be open to all hackers in the world. \nIt was reported that in the US hacker challenge\, a team of expert hackers arrived\, and demonstrated to all those who were present how to break into a Tesla car. At the end of their successful hack\, they stated that nothing would stop them from hacking the Cyber 2.0 system. However\, they failed and said: “We felt like people shooting Nerf darts at a castle wall.”

SUMMARY:TAG Blockchain Presents Non Fungible Tokens - NFT and the Internet of Value
DESCRIPTION:What does Dorsey’s first-ever tweet\, Nayans Cat\, a burned Banksy painting\, Grime’s music videos have in common? [They all have been minted into NFTs using blockchain technology] \nWhat do Mark Cuban\, Snoop Dog and Chamath Palihapitiya have in common? [They all are famous billionaires investing in an extensive NFT portfolio] \nWhat does Dorsey’s first-ever tweet\, a burned Banksy painting\, and Bitcoin have in common? [They all are now digital assets enabling ‘value’ transfer from peer-to-peer using blockchain technology] \nAs the world of Non-fungible Tokens exploded in the last few months\, it has left people amazed\, excited and confused. NFTs provide creators and investors the ability to sell and buy exclusively digital objects that range from weird 3D videos to songs and everything in between. And the buying and selling is happening on peer-to-peer NFT marketplaces. A new alignment is forming – creators\, sellers\, buyers\, facilitators\, market venues – all aspects of historic roles are subject to reconsideration. \nIt opens up questions: \n\nIs this another tulip mania?\nWhat is the technology underlying creating these NFTs?\nWhat is considered “value”?\nWhat is “art”?\nIntellectual property rights and copyright – Who owns what?\nHow are rights asserted? Preserved?\nBusiness models – How are creators and artists becoming part of the revenue model of their art?\nIs this a social and cultural phenomenon fueled by the technologies of the day? Have you attended an “NFT drop party” or a Clubhouse session on NFT wealth management??\nIs this sustainable use of technology? What about energy use and climate change?\nHow can you transact in NFT’s?

During the 2020 Covid 19 pandemic when the world got quiet and isolated\, his friends started reaching out to him asking for his DJ-ing presence on Facebook.  Wanting to be a part of the solution on how WE collectively quarantine in isolation\, he decided to use music to keep in touch with friends and to entertain them.  On April 5\, 2020\, the first show aired with the theme\, Music for Your Quarantined Feet (MQF). \nMQF reunited friends and provided some solace at a time when most countries around the world went on lockdown to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. The world latched on to MQF\, and catapulted it into a serious music program\, comparable to any show hosted on traditional radio. Every Sunday evening for two hours\, at 4 p.m.  MQF feeds its audience with old school music and Afro beats and the virtual community of hundreds of people around the world creatively bands together to connect\, celebrate\, and heal. The show has also garnered attention from celebrities with guest appearances from Samini the first guest artiste to be featured\, to the music maestro Kojo Antwi\, DJ Fisho provides a platform for patrons to get closer to their favorite artists for free. \nMQF was meant to be a channel of entertainment and fun for friends and classmates all over the world but the virtual show has grown to become more than just a Disc Jockey playing music to thrill his audience. Unsolicited\, donations of gratitude from viewers began to pour in.  Fisho and his wife were overwhelmed by this show of generosity and gratitude\, and so they decided to pay it forward\, by donating the monies to worthy causes.  Frontline workers in the Maryland area received donations of masks\, sanitizers\, gloves and food to help in the fight against COVID-19 and\, as more cash was received\, the gesture was extended to facilities in Ghana. \nSo far\, he has donated to six locations in the state of Maryland and to the Legon Hospital\, his family hospital in Ghana\, the University of Ghana Medical Centre (UGMC)\, the LEKMA Hospital at Teshie\, the Ga East Hospital\, and the Tamale Teaching Hospital.  Each week\, the selected facilities are provided with hot packed lunch and drinks for about 60 persons. MQF is bringing smiles to the faces of many frontline health workers who are sacrificing to ensure that we win the battle against the pandemic. \nBeing able to give back through music and beyond is a blessing and an honor for him. Whether the virtual show will continue after the quarantine\, remains to be seen. but as of now\, you can subscribe to his channel on YouTube (Ekow Fisho) for updates about any and everything new. \nMarjy Marj \nAuthor\, Consultant\, Speaker\, Visionary \nMarjorie Boafo Appiah aka Marjy Marj is a visionary\, management consultant\, author and speaker. She has leveraged her public speaking experience to fundraise for organizations and to empower communities. She is a sought-after speaker who keeps the crowd entertained and engaged at all times. \nMarjy is the founder of Innovation Abound – a company that gives creative ideas the opportunity and resources to flourish. \nAs a community leader\, Marjy is the vice chairman of the Hub City Writers Project Board of Directors.  She also serves as a Trustee at the Charles Lea Center Foundation\, The Spartanburg Regional Foundation and Spartanburg Day School.
