First Data Corp. has officially named Richard Winborne as its chief financial officer.
Mr. Winborne became acting CFO six months ago for the Atlanta-based electronic payment processing firm and won the job by performing well and winning the respect of the company’s employees and board, First Data CEO Jon Judge said in a news release.
Mr. Winborne has worked as chief accounting officer at Delta Air Lines Inc. and the former BellSouth Corp.
First Data, a Fortune 500 firm, processes credit- and debit-card payments as well as gift cards and electronic checks in 36 countries.
