Suwipan Thisyamondol, the former director of the Thai Trade Center in Atlanta, has been appointed head of the Trade Information Division at the Department of Export Promotion, Ministry of Commerce in Bangkok.
In an e-mail message he sent to GlobalFax last week, Mr. Thisyamondol said that his division is in charge of developing the information technology program to facilitate trade between Thailand and the rest of the world.
He also is responsible for compiling export-import statistics for Thailand, a directory of exporters and importers and maintaining a trade library as well as providing advice to exporters and conducting research.
Mr. Thisyamondol returned to Thailand after the trade office in Atlanta was closed March 31. While in Atlanta, he developed the Web site for Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce which may be found at http://www.thaitrade.com
