Friday, May 7, is the deadline to apply for the Metro Atlanta Chamber‘s Global Opportunities program, which culminates in a 13-day trip to China in September.
“GO is designed to help companies grow their international business,” Ric Hubler, the chamber’s director for global business growth, told GlobalAtlanta. “It is also designed to help executives raise their global IQ”
Orientation will be held on June 3, with monthly sessions stretching through October. There are sessions on cross-border negotiations, global brand management and leading multinational teams. Workshops will feature executives from global companies such as General Electric Co., Georgia-Pacific Corp. and Solvay Pharmaceuticals Inc. Between sessions, participants can schedule individual sessions with an executive coach.
The China trip is Sept. 10-22 and will start in Shanghai with stops in Wuhan and Beijing.
Cost of the program is $2,275, which does not include travel costs to China. The chamber has negotiated travel packages for the China trip to fit various budgets.
