Genuine Parts Co. of Atlanta has received the first annual “Award for Canadian-American Business Achievement” for its innovative business alliance with UAP Inc. of Montreal.
The award, granted by a panel of seven judges from the Foundation for Canadian-American Business Achievement, will be presented by Canadian Ambassador Raymond Chretien at a formal dinner at the Canadian Embassy in Washington D.C. on June 8.
In 1989, the two companies formed the UAP/NAPA Automotive Western Partnership to develop the Western Canadian market while enabling both companies to share market expertise of their respective home markets.
