Craig Lesser, commissioner of Georgia Department of Economic Development and Tom Chapman, chairman and CEO of Equifax Inc., will serve as co-vice chairs of Hemisphere Inc., as part of the restructuring of the organization to bring the headquarters of the Free Trade Area of the Americas to Atlanta.
Gov. Sonny Perdue made the announcement last week and will remain as chairman.
Additionally, Jose Ignacio Gonzales continues in his role of executive director of the organization and will report directly to Mr. Lesser.
In the coming months, “Hemisphere officials will be concentrating on one-on-one relationship building with decision-makers in the region rather than staging a lot of big events,” said Kevin Langston, director of communications of the Georgia’s economic development department.
Besides the restructuring, Hemisphere Inc. has also relocated its office from Equifax to Georgia Economic Development location at Midtown’s Technology Square at 75 Fifth Street NW.
