The Kia Optima, the Korean automaker’s Georgia-made sedan, has been named one of Road & Travel magazine’s 10 international cars of the year. 

The Optima in 2012 surpassed the Sorento, an SUV also made at the company’s West Point plant, to become Kia’s top-selling vehicle in the United States

The award was announced Jan. 15 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit
