Correction: A previous version of this article stated that the chamber was launching a new South Carolina chapter. In fact, the chapter has existed since 1996.

The German-American Chamber of Commerce of the Southern U.S. Inc. is set to name a new director for its South Carolina chapter Jan. 13.

Martina Stellmaszek (formerly Stegmeier), president of the Atlanta-based chamber, will be joined by U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) at a ceremony appointing the new director at the Draexlmaier Automotive of America LLC headquarters near Spartanburg, S.C., where German automaker BMW has a factory.

Vincenc Pearson, corporate counsel for Draexlmaier, which makes auto interior components, will head up the chapter.
