German manufacturer of industrial heating elements will invest $1 million in a new sales, service and distribution center in Swainsboro.

Hotset will renovate a 30,000-square-foot facility at the Swainsboro-Emanuel County Airport, creating 10 new jobs when it starts operations in the east-central Georgia city this summer.

Hotset will consider manufacturing in Swainsboro after it builds up sales and distribution, according to a Georgia Department of Economic Development news release.

The company has factories in Ludenscheid, Germany, and the island of Malta. It has North American headquarters in Vermont and a sales and distribution subsidiary in Singapore.

More than 300 people work directly for Hotset, and the company has sales partners in more than 30 countries.
