Brokat Infosystems AG, the Stuttgart, Germany-based vendor of Internet banking applications, announced last week that it would launch an aggressive expansion campaign through its newly established subsidiary in Atlanta.

The wholly owned subsidiary, Brokat Financial Systems, will concentrate on the development, marketing and servicing of financial services software for corporate cash management and small business banking.

Brokat Financial Systems already provides full-service cash management solutions to eight of the 20 largest U.S. banks and more than 25 leading financial institutions throughout North America stemming from Brokat Infosystems’ acquisition of Atlanta-based Transaction Software Technologies in May.

According to the company, more than 2,000 organizations currently use Brokat E-finance and other E-service solutions worldwide.

Stefan Rover, Brokat Infosystems’ CEO, said that the company would conduct an “aggressive expansion campaign throughout North America.”  “We recognized that Brokat can best leverage its European Internet banking success in the U.S. market by forming a company that is focused on the E-finance solution business,” he added.
